Do You Believe In Ghosts? – a Talking Points Lesson Plan for English Reading & Speaking

This is part of the Talking Points lesson series for Intermediate to Advanced students.

A spooky lesson plan that will keep your students engaged for the entire class time.

Just the opening questions in this ghostly lesson plan are enough to make your students talk for a long time.

But the rest of the lesson talks about a freaky encounter and lots of otherworldly experiences that will make your students debate with great vigour.

Some cultures have a very different perception of ghosts so I will leave that to your discretion.

But this subject will be perfect in your English or ESL class and will make all your students open up and speak out loud in class.

The lesson comes complete with:

• a 500-word article

• a table of essential vocabulary

• a big list of questions for discussion

Start the class with the three opening questions and then do the reading. Then you can go through all the vocabulary – or set it as homework for the students to do later.

Then there is a big list of questions that are designed to get your students talking.

It comes in easy to use PDF format, ideal for printing for your needs. Use it again and again for your English/ESL classes.
