This is part of the Talking Points lesson series for Intermediate to Advanced students.

A lesson plan about food…. But not the standard lesson where students talk about their favourite food. This lesson is all about strange food from around the world.

It is based on the travels of Jerry who describes all the strange food he has tried in Asia.

If you have Asian students in the class they may not find some of the food strange at all. There could be very divided opinions about what food the class regards as strange and what food is not. This is the perfect opportunity for you to see lots of lively debate in the classroom.
